What about AK47's homepage?

Grey is the background, in dark grey part is for a slide.
Without the car the header will simple too much.
And the AK47 logo, its a header, not wallpaper. lol.

Look around on big websites and compare the logo sizes to your logo size ;)

Remember that people might visit your hp quite often, thus the content should get a lot more space. The design is interesting the first and second time, but after that, the user just ignores it and looks for content.

I'm just commenting on my point of view and from what I have to do in my daily work.

It's just meant as constructive critizism, not as order to do it like this ;)
