I'm making a suggestion that we bring back NASCAR but with improvements
Also I'm doing this, cause I think AX needs more events
  • The race will be shorter not the 3 hour race
  • There will be pitstops
  • Since there will be pitstops, strategy will play a big part in the race, and with pitstops added the racers will be spread across the track, therefore less ramming will happen
  • Cromiell has got all the maps we need
  • Maybe just maybe, it will be a time limit race rather than a CP race

Suggestions/Opinions will be appreciated, I think it will be on a weekend so more people can join.

I'm happy to do something like a single 30 minute race, or even 2 15 minute races.

More road circuits would be nice :D

Also maybe a command like for race officials though
/blackflag [id] [reason] = black flag
/yflag = for caution shows a sign like what level 2 admin does to put those big words on the screen
/blueflag [id] = warning the lapped racer that he has to let the faster cars behind him, but the warning will only appear to the one being warned (duh)

Also I don't want this to be a lost cause, so maybe it would be nice to start off with the maps that we have and set-up a starting date?

We already have NASCAR maps, maybe a few road circuit maps though would be good as aforementioned by Vert, sadly you don't have the time  :(

As for me 1 hour is a shortest option possible. Less than 1 hour makes pit stops mode useless for NASCAR. Also, we can always play Nationwide instead of Sprint Cup Series. That would offer racing in wet conditions on road courses.

As for caution commands there is no point in making them. Almost every spin and contact in NASCAR requals a caution. You would have to use it every lap lol.

Draft (slipstream) will be a total mess because of SA-MP desync. It will cause TONS of wrecks.

I like the idea, 30 minutes or even 40 or 45 seems fine to me, more than that, I think I'd get bored.

Personally, I would like to skip the huge tracks. Some of the very big ones are just hold W and tap left every once in a while. We don't NEED to be super realistic anymore I don't think, that's what took the fun away last time.

i'd like an event like this, but i think i'd prefer if it were just cps on the sa map, rather than a mapped race because most of the time, the mapped races are kinda boring.

and to make things a little different from just the regular races on ax, you could remove lamps and add some of those bilboards and shit lol

i think we should use a mixture of custom ovals, custom road tracks and perhaps some custom street tracks like the ones already on the server.

that reminds me, a huge problem with a lot of the ovals was the lag they created because of the amount of objects they were made with. perhaps some of them could be toned down.

There is nothing to delete from these maps untill you want only a road with barriers :P They should be fine at 0.3x as cake said.

Indianapolis is very boring, Daytona too (for 30 minutes race)

better replace them with New Hampshire or Darlington
Phoenix, Martinsville and Vegas can stay (eventually replace with Texas)

btw would be nice to get increased view distance before do this, also i got little updated maps for these

Do we need map makers? I thought they're enough speedway maps on ax?
It should be a mix with more road Courses and maximum of time maybe around 30 minutes
But I think the maximum of players would be the problem.. 20? 43?
