Best Free Antivirus

(1/4) > >>

[MAF]Agus:
The free period of the antivirus that originally came with my notebook is about to expire, and I'd like to know what free antivirus is the best to install. The main options are Avast, AVG and Avira not because I personally prefer them, but because some people recomended me those. If you vote ''Other'' please specify :L

btw I use the notebook mainly for internet and files in word, excel, etc, if that's relevant...

[MAF]Karlis:
had avira, but their ads are pretty unacceptable and annoying(and the ways to remove them didn't work lately), now i have avast, and the only complaint so far is the frequency at which it reminds of an update(a bigger one, not just data).
as far as protection goes i heard both of them are somewhat decent, but i'm no expert here.

i've heard some good things about ms security essentials, but then again, dunno anything more and i have heard good things about IE too...

Not at all.. for example Avast doesn't suck, i have a paid one but i know Avast works perfectly also for the mobile phone.

[MAF]Karlis:
i'm somehow hoping of living without an antivirus in my phone lol, just have to be careful with what i install.
my phone isn't quite as fast to not worry about a scanner running in the background
i wonder how many of you even use AV for a phone?
