There is mystery noise in my PC case
« on: November 23, 2012, 08:11:03 pm »
This noise is something like some fan is touching something like cable or something. in total i have 9 fans (5 case fans) when i disable all 5 case fans noise is still there, my guess its from PSU fan

Sometimes this noise disappears

Or maybe its HDD? Can HDD make this noise when its dying or scratched?

HDD can make a clicking noise, google it for samples, but it might be just over-dusted, under-oiled or unbalanced fans, last happened to me.
try oiling and cleaning all of them as good as you can

I had a sort of ticking sound like this that came and went, I found it to be the loose side panel, probably not your problem though :)

My computer sometimes starts making that kind of noise when I turn it on. A couple of hits and it goes away
