surely teams of three would be better? Four's always too many but two would leave you with only one outfielder unless the keeper comes out, and I've seen MikeGT's shots and I wouldn't take that risk...
2 is good in my opinion, games are 2*10 mins, this should allow between 5 to 10 goals overall which is more than usual football but a bit more fun imo, and more useful for counting points, less risk of getting draws. Every time I played 3vs3 it would become too messy, too blocked and not moving much. Besides, both players move during the game, there's not one that stays as a keeper the whole time (although if people think that's a good strategy, that's not a problem...).
although I can see two-man teams working well if skunk's pitch is the right size
