Custom MiniMaps?

Are custom minimaps allowed? and if so, which is a good one that you guys use for racing? I saw [MAF]Cromiel had a cool minimap with the buildings removed in one of his videos, anyone know where to find that one?

from my understanding they are allowed, I think cromiell has/had the gta IV minimap. not too sure though

what do you mean by buildings removed?
and texture mods of any sort are allowed.
