I've added a rank world. So what ever results there may be in that world, are logged.

I'm not too sure what you have in mind for the actual event, but i have a good way to get us down to the last 16.

  • Every player has to play the players in their group twice.
  • /rankrace [playerid]  This starts the rank race when the player accepts. Very similar to /duel.
  • Each player can only /rankrace [same-playerid] once.
  • Scores for groups logged and alerts us when a groups complete.

I think this would save on the pen and paper method, also the first few races wouldn't have to be monitored, so time zones wouldn't be an issue.

OMG, group A (debils group) is way to easy compared with the other groups....

Like... put me in that group and I will make it to the KO round... but my own group... with evil gnomes which nobody knows who he is.... gonna be a pity :s

Referring to this table...

http://forum.adrenalinex.co.uk/index.php/topic,485.0.html

Could you make clear where which group gonna start... cuz we need to know who we can expect in the quarter finals etc.. ;)

I think paying eachother twice is a good idea, since we cut it down to 32 players
The /rankrace is exactly what we needed  ;D
With that though, can you make it so each race gives them some sort of point, which adds to a best of 5 score to win?
This would be easier through msn  :P

Ush - Don't underestimate anyone, one mistake and.....
I don't think we will do it group by group but rather like the first round of matches from each group played, then the second etc.

I know I didn't make it to tourney :'( but anyway my idea is to let the winner choose any car type they want for the next race.   :-*    ironman.          ~~~O-o ~~~O-o ~~~O-o

I suggest using the Champions League format, 8 groups, 2 winners of each group go through. So the last 16 is a quarter final knockout. Then obviously semi finals, then the final.

Example:

GroupGames (For each group)
Quote
Group A
[FSR]Devil666 (1), [2F2F]Al3x (2), SimonUK (3), Di5tuRb3D (4)
  • Game 1: 1 v 2    3 v 4
  • Game 2: 1 v 3    2 v 4
  • Game 3: 4 v 3    2 v 1
  • Game 4  4 v 2    3 v 1
  • Game 5: 1 v 4    2 v 3
  • Game 6: 3 v 2    4 v 1

QuarterFinal
  • Game 1: Winner A  v  RunnersUp H
  • Game 2: Winner B  v  RunnersUp G
  • Game 3: Winner C  v  RunnersUp F
  • Game 4: Winner D  v  RunnersUp E
  • Game 5: Winner E  v  RunnersUp D
  • Game 6: Winner F  v  RunnersUp C
  • Game 7: Winner G  v  RunnersUp B
  • Game 8: Winner H  v  RunnersUp A

SemiFinal
  • TBA
  • TBA

Final
  • TBA

So we know who we have to play upto the semi finals. Hmm, what do you reckon?

quarter final = four matches? eight final would me more like it, and then a quarter final, because if you move from 8 matches to only 2, there are gonna be other 4 winners that are gonna be complaining

Good idea, a 2 leg quarter final. Maybe even a 2 leg semi final?
