interesting results. how do you guys write your 8s compared to your 0s?

i'm right handed and do them like this:

in a way my 0 is just my 8 without the loop at the bottom

I write the 0 the same as you but I start the 8 on the left side of the lower part of the 8.. but the direction I write in is the same as you start with.
