Limit on 45 wont help at all,i have saw many times when on server is 30+ players and when there are just 3-4 playes with 300 ping, whole server goes crazy and show all other players ping over 100
Same as on picture what Andy posted above...

Heh, those servers can be used to host 3 minecraft servers at once. It could run at least 20 SA-MP servers with 500 slots and 70 players.

Sure that is point of server machines, but sadly most hosts still use P4 architecture since 2004 or older that is why we have problems now days, but still main problem is SA:MP and not optimized-dirty code.
Any game based on lines of code can be played-hosted on 10 years old servers if code is clean.

Why does this only happen to our server btw? Or does it happen for every SA-MP server?

I think it has something to do with dirty code, as jalicno said, it could possibly be that the sync rates are too high, and lowering them might fix it. Or it could be that there's too many resources being used by the script.

i don't like the idea of excluding noobs as all that would do is turn away any good player and make the noob section even noobier. no one has the patience to only ever race with noobs during one world. except maybe noobs. so you'd have noobs getting 1k and progressing to "pro world" and good racers quitting and never coming back.

i don't know whether we're ready to split up into 2 servers but we could always only put the less busy server on the hosted tab so player levels would equalise and it wouldn't cost too much. and we should wait for sa-mp 0.3d before making a decision, the lag may be fixed then.
will read and answer your forum PMs when I'm less busy!

what happens if all the slots are full and one of you guys tries to join the server?

lowering the slot number is a bad idea imo.

2 separate score divided worlds in 1 world races seems very reasonable.

You'll have to wait for someone to leave in that case Ganja.

Lowering player slots seems a good idea. The only concern I have is a scenario like this:

If there was, for example, a maximum of 30 players allowed on the server at one time, and there were 30 non-admins online, what'd happen if one was a cheater? No admins online to ban them, no admins would be able to join since the server would be full...
