She's above average, but she only has about 1% of the talent needed to become famous. Listening to that and being a musician myself, I heard a lot of out-of-tune notes: something that, as a celebrity, should be virtually inexistant. I know plenty of people who can sing like that or better, and they have the songwriting abilities to match. Rebecca Black's Friday is of three-year-old standard in my opinion.
"We, we, we so exited, we so exited" <-- is that shit even supposed to be English? I've heard better bullshit from Zdzichu, seriously.
And the song is not original at all. Not only is it unoriginal, but the song it copies is possibly the worst song ever composed: Baby by Justin Bieber. Think about it. It uses exactly the same chord sequence, but in a different key. To those who don't understand, it's the same tune but a little lower. There's that high-pitched wailing at the start.
Justin's: "ooh, oh, oh".
Rebecca's: "yeah, yeah, yeah".
There's the retarded repeated words.
Justin's: Baby, baby, baby, ooh.
Rebecca's: Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday.
And then there's the retarded rap section half-way through. Seriously, it has NOTHING on 90s rap and hip-hop.
Summary:
Autotuned piece of shit with no musical value whatsoever, rip-off of another autotuned piece of shit with no musical value whatsoever.
