Ok I tried it in the other slot and it was still fucked, and then it updated the video driver, forced and restart and then wouldn't load Windows.

So as long i as i don't load a single driver i can use the PC.

What equivalent nVidia card would you suggest then?

Well it's only £50 difference.

Once i get it sorted i am going to post loads of screens of my pc setup from speccy in case there is something i overlooked when i built it.

New card arrived today and it's in and my problem has gone. Just downloading the drivers now :)
