hi

1)

is it possible to report car damages on health ?
so a big front crash could kill you.
new mode or anything else (with no /heal)...

2)

as nobody has answered (nobody has said that it was a bad idea) i propose to display average points with total points
average points = total points / number of races with highscores

it could interesting be to see

I like you your average points idea.

I was a big champion of top 20 over top 5 but it has allowed people who race loads to get highscores over better racers who don't race so often. I'm not arguing about changing top 20, as i think it is better than top 5, so boots' suggestion would be quite revealing i think.

Yep, I agree with boots and simon. Skill is amount of highscores made in the least possible tries, not having the most highscores and the most wins. The latter just measures how much free time people have.

suggestion to drift mode

to make ppl don't reverse and drift again add some fast finish bonus points

1st at finish +500 drift points
2nd at finish +400 drift points
3rd at finish +300 drift points
4th at finish +200 drift points
5th at finish +100 drift points
Oh, you guys meant driving the track backwards - that's easily blocked, maybe kick the racer out of the race if he/she starts driving the track backwards?

First off, is there a reason why we don't force all racers to register? (I can't see any reasons why forcing them to do this would be bad?)

Once every racer is registered you can the log their IP to their user name to create a unique ID every time they log on. This ID could then be used to ban racers, even when they are not logged into the server? This way you link the same racer across multiple IPs (and see all the IPs a racer has used when logging onto the server, allowing you to range ban them if need be).

I doubt i am making myself clear.

Unique IDs aren't really possible with a free game like this. Especially since most players could change their name and IP at will.

Forcing people to register would probably turn away new players and create too many unused accounts.

believe me, once I tried forcing register, didnt work at all

Really?

Doesn't registering take about 5 seconds? I struggle to believe it would turn anyone away.

The other points i will happily concede.

2,500 races, with that volume of races there will always be a higher statistic for people who play more. There is no way round that. You can't play 20 races a week and expect that to beat someone who plays everyday. It's a losing battle.

Force register would also be a put of for players who don't understand english.

Qucikfix change - Done
Changed lobby - Done
More info - Done
Newraces changes - Done

To do:
Drift changes - Loads of suggestions
Kill if a fast crash - Boots buggestion

Not possible (atm):
Drift mode - Skunk suggestion
Toggle Anti-Jack - Joe suggestion  (This could enable players to jack cars, need to think again)

Losing battle? Check this:

4)   [SC]Phil_Ivey   15230
5)   [Eternal]DaBaR]   14951

Phil has 15230 points, and he has finished 2497 races

Eternal follows close-by and has 14951 points, he finished a total of 8507 races

It only took Phil 2497 races to get 15230 points, while it took Eternal approximately 3.5 times as much races just to get a smudge under 15k. The math aside, Phil's "skill rate" is 30.5% while Eternal's is just 8.79%. Get what I mean?

Here's the formula I created (after countless shouting and cursing at the monitor) to get the skill rate:

skill rate = [current number of highscore points / (number of races finished * 20 e.g. the amount of points you get for getting a top1 in a race)] * 100

SCREENSHOT OF THE FORMULA USING PHIL'S STATS:

What boots/Simon/me wants is a separate highscores page that shows the skill rate of each player and ranks them accordingly. :D

EDIT: added color coding, links and a screenshot for the enlightment of all.
