News:  FIBA today announced that four players are to be suspended, and their national federations fined, after recent fighting at a friendly tournament in Greece.

On 19th August, at a game between Greece and Serbia, a fight broke out towards the end of the game involving two players - Antonis Fotsis (GRE) and Milos Teodosic (SRB). This resulted in a wider, violent brawl between several players of both teams.

The game was stopped immediately and never resumed.

FIBA started an official investigation after the game and has now announced its findings.

Serbian player Nenad Krstic is suspended with immediate effect for three games in main official FIBA competition which include the World Championships, Olympics and Continental Championships.  The player is also fined a total of CHF 45,000.

His teammate, Milos Teodosic, is also suspended with immediate effect for two games in main official FIBA competitions.

The Serbian Basketball federation will be fined a total of CHF 20,000.

Greek players Antonis Fotsis and Sofoklis Schortsanitis are suspended with immediate effect for two games in main official FIBA competitions.

The Hellenic Basketball Federation will be fined a total of CHF 20,000.

Money from the fines will be used to support education programs for young basketball players.

So these four players will miss the two-three first games of tournament!

They should give a chair to Krstic rather than ball, he would play much better  ;D

USA's ownage over the Croatia is just about to start but if you watch the game and notice the good play of big Croatian guy, oh yes, be sure it's Tomic, playing for Real Madrid and he's ripping the throats out  ;D

This will be sorta regular match, without much expectations even USA misses best players..

I'm not a real basketball fan, so I'm gonna ask you a (stupid?) question. Are you able to tie in a match?

No, the game will go into overtime if the regular time(48 minutes) ends in a tie. And if the overtime ends in a tie aswell, then there will be another overtime and so on until there's a winner.

Oh great, another Croatian defeat against Slovenia. In some periods we played really good, but in a moment everything's gone, we showed no enthusiasm to come back.. With this terrible weak play we have no chance against Brasil. Iran and Tunisia will be easy but those few points wont send us to next round.

lithuania is good in basket, even though they usually don't go so far in tournaments. Anyway, they can easily fuck NL team with their junior team.

And go serbia and lithuania... (i think none of them will pass but i still hope they will lol)
