I am jelly of you guise with your super speeds. My friend had a faster connection than me 10 years ago.  :L

I pay £20 a month because we have to go with BT, otherwise when a tree falls on the line (which happens often) all the other companies take 3 months or more to fix it. We don't have Virgin cabling in our area either so we're stuck. We also have a 40GB bandwidth limit per month. Our contract is rated to 20Mbps, but of course we don't get that speed because of where we live.

*sigh*

I think most internet hosts in France put a limit to the upload, my adsl is limited to less than 100 KB/s, with a different host.

ADSL2+ and triple play solutions are offered by the major DSL providers (including Orange, SFR, Free and Bouygues Telecom) except in some rural areas. Usually maximum download speed when using ADSL2+ is 24 Mbit/s and upload speed 1 Mbit/s.
