Usually, the highscores don't define the racers. ;)

1)I think it should be like with a point system, no eliminations. Like a tournament has 15 races.
For each race:
1st: 10p
2nd: 9p
3rd: 8p
4th: 7p
5th: 6p
6th: 5p
7th: 4p
8th: 3p
9th: 2p
10th: 1p

And the winner is the one that has the most points at the end.

2) Or, the football method, Group A,B,C,D (randomly selected)... Five in each group and two advance after 3 races...

^ Yup a setup similar to the WRC pointing system. Times define your order on the board, then points is what you earn per round.

I like this one!

Groups are too complicated, thats why it didn't work last time.

I was thinking of having a points system alongside the knockout
system next time, so that u need to try your hardest each round,
not just get through. This would also give eliminated players
something to do.

If you want everyone to try theyr hardest each round the WRC system is the best, then each second counts. ;)

^ yup, that way no one has to be eliminated and everyone can keep racing even if they know they have no chance of winning anymore, lol

Yeah WRC is the best. Not challenging for the win but you can still challenge even for 7th spot.

Okay, better idea.

Everyone still got 2 tries each race.
Fastest time still counts.
But every round times get summed up, so who at the end the fastest time has wins   8)

Like:
Round1) Ush 3.32.000
Round2) Ush 2.10.000
Total = 5.42.000

I'm not a fan of that...only cause i think 1 run should be to learn the race.

Argh, you didn't read well.

I mean that the best time of every round gets summed up round after round.

So if you got 16 rounds. You got 16 best times, sum them up and you got the total time for the whole tournament. Thats how you will see who is the fastest overall.

Hmm yeah WRC style. Some mismeaning in past post.

"But every round times get summed up, so who at the end the fastest time has wins" was sending my mind to round per round.

And i got Round1 and Round2 as Run1 and Run2 :L So Vertigo did the same.

Well this will do nice too, time version of the point system. This one seems better to me i dont know why.

Hahah sorry for the confusion :L

Yeah this feels better for me too, more fair. With points 0,001 slower means 1 points less.. while next race you are 2 seconds faster as that person but gain only 1 point extra as him. With time you get 1,999 second more.. so more fair. If you can still follow me lol :L
