Mmm.. nah, I don't like rollingstarts.

Idea is cool, but I don't want it. What does this add to our server? And if someone lags badly you're right behind him ready to get hit lol.

This looks nice but there is one big problem more textures makes less frames per sec and huge lag at people with weak pc's.You can try to code that so if works bad it is easy to remove it  ;)

rolling start, if i know is used only in 'boring' NASCAR, isn't it ?

Sounds pretty good! Why's everyone so negative about it lol, at least give it a chance. To fix any kind of chance of being lag rammed, everyone can be evened out more than usual, and less fps for shit PCs? Not really, if a person lags while driving normally, they're going to lag no matter what, that can't be fixed. The only problem I see with this is latency issues. Some1 with a large ping will not start off to a rolling start as soon as you might start coz their velocity will not be set right away so there might need to be a fairly large gap between everyone. Otherwise, it sounds cool!  :)

It probably will be, how could it be implemented to every race on the server atm? just wouldn't work lol, it'll be an extra gamemode. You could even make a new 1v1 race mode with a rolling start with the 2 ppl right next to each other to avoid being lag rammed, would be nice.

A normal 4 player race could work as well, just put a big gap between the players. I don't see it not working if there's enough space.

I voted directly yes after entering the topic, then read the stuff lol

Its great to have a new fruit to taste, to avoid any kinda problems the cars can be ghost also.In a ghost car race everyone gets into each other at start.It will be prevented this way a bit (if you think of adding ghost mode lol)

It would be nice to start the race which runs under the red bridge with rolling start.Also in wikipedi it states extreme weather conditions are started rolling.It will do good for us in rain too cause  vehicles do some burnouts producing alot of water splash that cut alot of frame thus falling behind the line.

Thanks all for your feedback.

I agree the SA-MP sync and collision isn't really geared towards rolling starts, also our current grid isn't 100% reliable, but with a new grid mode available today (DUEL Mode), I'm sure trying something like this could bring something fresh to the server.

Ntrio >> Rolling Start >> Duel Mode  would be the setup details in buildmode (Nitro is optional, just an example).

This poll was 3 / 3 at the early stages, but now it's 18 / 3 in favour, what a turn around  ;)

Shame, SA-MP wasn't able to create a good rolling start feel. I tried in a test on DoubleYou, but because you are either frozen, it wouldn't roll you.

Might be losing battle, removed all traces of my test (one race was bugged and tried to roll them, failed).

Would need to take into consideration things like curvy roads (perhaps it could follow a path) and how long the rolling start would go for. But that has probably already been mentioned lol.
